chasing el sol.

This is:. partner in crime. Portrait for class of Melinda, Whiting Ranch area.
check her out at mhaverstock.blogspot.com
Pakorn:. This was a really fun shoot, minus the fact that we didn't have any sun.

It went something like this...

M: The sun is going down! Wait! It's coming.
P: Good, smile, amazing, to the left, wait... look down, now look up, good, these are great, can you jump?--Holy crap, the sun is gone!
M: Lets drive around.
P: Wait, there's the sun, I see sun, stop!
P: No wait, that damn mountain is blocking it, ahhhh, those darn clouds.

Yah, and that's pretty much how it went (um, no lie).

anxious.

This is:. a little anxious. Union Station, downtown Los Angeles.
Pakorn:. Okay, I must admit I have a little problem approaching people when I'm taking picture. Most people have an issue with it too (from either side of the camera). But I just couldn't resist, this elderly lady was too good to pass by. The sunlight beam into the doorway and you have this lady peaking out. It leave so much to wonder. She seem a bit fragile, but not frighten. She's well put together, BUT?
What was she doing there? Who was she waiting for? How long was she there?
And on and on.

cloudy mist, june.

This is:. cloudy mist. Los(t) Angles.
Pakorn:. Let's go do my homework! My sister was nice enough to help so we dragged ourselves out of the house at 5:30ish. We got everything right? Camera, shoes, accessories, well apparently we forgot to bring the sun with us! Where did it go?
Dunno, it's there everyday blasting at me when I'm driving and etcetera. I guess we'll just shoot without the sun. I love the emotions of these images.

Fierce, remember what Tyra said? SMILE--with your eyes!

la la land. [aka chinatown]

This is:. amusement park? Chinatown, Los Angeles.
Pakorn:. Okay, only the Chinese can 'n will do this. Turning a forgotten space into cash. I mean granted that there was no one there to love it oops, I mean use it! But imagine durning Chinese new year or something, man they must make bank! Sorry about the rants, but I just couldn't resist the color! So puuuuĆ¼rty!

Disneyland? Disney who? Chinatown is a metro ride away :)
