recycle reduce reuse.

This is:. pants + shorts = short pants. Bleach/stonewash jean from Gap, c 2005.
Pakorn:.I was cleaning my closet and I found this pair of jean that I brought from Gap a couple of years ago, for cheap, 14 bucks. I wore it twice at most! So I decided to make a cutoff short out of the ugly duckling. It was so easy to do, scissor for the cutting and an exacto for the raw edges. I decided to cuff the shorts to give it a bit of a personality, since it was treated on the outside the color on the inside was still pristine. Looking forward to wearing this short pants to shreds. I already wore it six days straight, casual dinner, class, shopping, and more than I can count errands. This is like the cheapest trend of the season. Why pay outrageous $ for a new pair at UO? I paid zip for mine.

getting lei.

This is:. graduation lei. Butterfly origami made from one dollar bills making up a flock of moneyfly (the best kind of fly).
Pakorn:. After my own and attending many graduation ceremonies I have decided that flowers are a waste of money. I mean they are pretty but they evaporate in the hot soCal weather. And those orchid leis are pretty... and by pretty I mean pretty pricy. They fall apart before you even get your picture taken with your fambam. My solution--money! Who doesn't want it, and they last and last (well, until you decide to spend it).
Anywho, congrats to all the newly gradated.
P.S. I have a baby shower coming up, and was pondering with the idea of making a money mobile but I think it's kinda ghetto. I don't want the kid to be seeing green. What do you think?

abandonment.

This is:. abandonment in downey. Learning how to use the camera. Nikon D40.
Pakorn:. I been taking a digital photo class at Art Center at Night, it's confusing as hell (or I'm just plain dumb) but after 4 classes, I've finally learned to embrace it. These shoots were taken at an abandonment hospital in downey (the city best kept secret). This is my third trip down there, the first and second we won't mention, but this seems to be the most productive one. The sad thing is that it is now fenced! They fenced the darn thing. So, even though these image doesn't look like it--it was actually taken between the wired fences. Looking forward to the next trip down there, I have something naughty in mind that we also won't yet mention.
